ACT  Math Course

CONTENT

The first class will focus on the basic problems that are on every ACT Math test – Fractions, Numbers, Percents, Ratio & Proportion, Rates and Averages.

The second class will focus on Geometry – lines, triangles, area, and circles.

The final class will focus on Trig – SOHCAHTOA, Unit circle, Logs, and probability.

STRATEGY

The course will tackle test-taking strategies specific to the Math sub-test.

Students will understand how to use answer choices to improve accuracy and reduce common errors.  The course also covers time management and understanding how the scoring works.

INSTRUCTIONAL METHOD

Math concepts will be presented followed by students working problems in that area. All problems done in class will be gone over by the instructor.

HOMEWORK

Students will receive a math homework test to practice what they learn in class.  Students are strongly encouraged to not only DO the homework but to review what they miss and  determine why they missed a problem.  This helps students to learn the mistakes they make and correct them.

*All course materials except calculators and pens/pencils will be provided.
*All classes will be limited in size so make sure you enroll as soon as possible.
*Your student’s seat is not secured until payment is made.
*No refunds within 7 days of course date.
