CONTENT
The science test assesses a student’s ability to think scientifically. All of the basic science concepts will be covered – Scientific Process, Variables, The Control, Directly and indirectly related. The ACT Science test uses certain words consistently and those words give students clues as to how to approach the questions and improve scores.
STRATEGY
The course will tackle test-taking strategies specific to the ACT science test.
Students will understand how to use answer choices to improve accuracy and reduce common errors. The course also covers time management and understanding scoring of the science section.
INSTRUCTIONAL METHOD
Actual ACT science test passages are used in class for instruction and practice to ephasize and demonstrate correct methods to improve scores.
HOMEWORK
Students will receive a science homework test to practice and solidify class instruction. Students are strongly encouraged to not only DO the homework but to review answers and determine why problems were missed. This helps students to identify issues and correct future answers.
*All course materials except calculators and pens/pencils will be provided.
*All classes will be limited in size, make sure you enroll as soon as possible.
*Your student’s seat is not secured until payment is made.
*No refunds within 7 days of course date.
Note: Registering for this class does NOT register your student for the ACT test. That must be done at the ACT website – www.act.org.
